Congratulations Jennifer Krupp, CFR’s July Smarty of the Month! Jennifer definitely deserves it this month! She has made some AMAZING changes and you can tell both in the way she looks and her attitude! She has let go of any preconceived notions and opened her mind to a world of possibilities!
While Jennifer has been working on SMART goals, adding veggies and good proteins to her diet, and doing her corrective exercises at home, it was entering the 28 Day Partner Challenge that really sparked her motivation. Jennifer explained, “I’m a competitive person, and entering the challenge really lit my fire to take more specific, positive actions with working out and stopping bad habits.”
When asked what she did to start losing weight/inches she explain that she made a commitment to herself and her partner during the 28 Day Challenge. This new found commitment allowed her to request healthy meal options on a retreat. While others were eating pizza and dessert, Jennifer stuck to chicken and veggies! She also walked the length of Silver Dollar City to get a healthy salad at the only place to serve them! Jennifer was able to go on the walking cave tour fearlessly mastering the stairs on the way out. Jennifer exclaimed, “If not for the confidence gained at CFR, I would not have done it!”
Jennifer made the Farmer’s Market a part of her life. She also paired her semi-private training sessions with our Smart Group Training to get in 3-4 workouts each week. “I surprised myself at times with what I was able to accomplish some days.”
All of her hard work definitely paid off! In 28 days Jennifer lost 14 pounds and 2.5 inches (just from her hips and belly button)! This is just the beginning! We can’t wait to see all of your future success!
Here is Jennifer’s advice for those struggling with motivation and weight:
- Acknowledge that it is a struggle, but you will improve when you put in the effort. (Confession: Sometimes I’ll just cry out of frustration, but then do whatever I’m being asked to do and it gets better.)
- Know that it takes time, effort, and commitment to you.
- Enjoy the process and your progress.
- Take joy in challenging yourself! YOU ARE worth it!
Congrats again Jennifer! Keep up all of the hard work!
