If you have been to the grocery store lately, you have probably seen something similar to the picture below!
A PLETHERA OF SQUASH! You might walk by this section of the grocery store and wonder what you would ever do with one of these, or how you would prepare one. However, there are plenty of things to do with squash and it is not as hard to prepare as you might think. Although there are many types of squash, I am going to focus on acorn squash, butternut squash, and delicata squash.
Choosing
Pick one that is firm, dull and heavy for its size. They can be yellow, dark green, tan, or orange.
Storing
Store your squash in a cool (approximately 50°F), dry area away from sunlight for up to 3 months
