Over the past year, I took a strong interest in golf and really wanted to take my game to the next level. I have always experienced poor flexibility in my hamstrings, hips, and back. Not only was my lack of flexibility hindering my swing potential, but I also experienced soreness and stiffness in my back after playing a round of golf and in everyday activities.
This winter, I wanted to take a few steps to improve my game and one of those was the golf fitness aspect. I approached Steve Long because he is a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Golf Fitness Instructor. During my initial meeting with Steve, the three goals we set were: 1. Increase flexibility, 2. Develop core strength, and 3. Prevent injuries. He developed a program that was specific for my needs and goals. After just a few weeks, I noticed an increase in flexibility and core strength. As a result, my lower back feels significantly better and the increase in core strength/flexibility should help me shave a few strokes off my handicap this year.

By way of introduction, I am a 50 y/o male. I have been training with Steve for approximately 2 years. I trained with one other person for 3 years before that. I am also a physician, so I know more than a little about the body and nutrition and I can say without hesitation that Steve Long knows what he’s doing. My experience with Steve has been phenomenal. I always thought I liked the first guy I trained with and was happy with the progress, then I started with Steve and saw what real progress and results were all about. Within the first six months of fitness training with Steve, I saw more results than I had with the other guy in three years. The differences I noticed was the approach to how we went about working out. It was well thought out, done for specific physiologic reasons and tailored to my goals. When we first started out, he asked about my diet, habits, and goals. He continues to keep my goals in mind. Furthermore, he changes up the workout regimen every five sessions or so with my goals and progress in mind and to ensure that there is adequate variety. Overall, I am extremely satisfied. I have seen what other personal trainers in St. Louis do having been “in the gym” for a number of years–heck, I even trained with another–so I can tell from experience that Complete Fitness Results is definitely top notch and a great value.

They are all extremely passionate about what they do and it shows not only within their studio and within their attitude, it shows within MY RESULTS. In the 2 months I was there I went from 240 lbs to a very in shape (can I use the word ripped) 216 lbs. I can’t wait to graduate from college and join the ranks of Complete Fitness Results. Complete Fitness Results helped me on the path to changing my life. This place is GREAT!!! I started with Steve 1 year ago weighing in at 220lbs blood pressure through the roof. Steve and his team helped me every step of the way. we set goals and worked at them. Every few months we would set new goals. I’m now down to 160lbs wearing the same size pants as I did in high school. At 54 I’m in the best shape of my life. Blood pressure 110/72. Thanks Guys!!!! I am glad I took the camps for the vacation was awesome. We hiked all over Utah in some beautiful parks. I would often be ready to go farther than those with me. It gave me the strength and endurance to outlast and enjoy the trip. Thanks again!
In the short time I was there I improved my fitness as well as lost weight. The workouts were very challenging but manageable. Steve and his trainers were very positive through out the program. The way the boot camps were structured, with a variety of exercises each with a variety of modifications to match a specific fitness level, were awesome. I was as beat as the advanced people at the end of the class. It was structured so no particular ability stood out, either super fit or completely out of shape. Each had a workout to push them to their limits.
